Weight distribution determines the center of gravity, the point at which the aircraft’s total weight can be considered to act. Moving payload, fuel, or passengers shifts this point, changing how the aircraft balances in pitch. The center of gravity is crucial for stability and controllability: a forward CG makes elevator control heavier and can raise stall speed, while an aft CG can reduce stability and make the aircraft harder to recover from disturbances. The other terms describe where lift acts or how weight is spread over wing area, not the balance point created by weight distribution. So, how the weight is arranged directly sets the center of gravity.
